This page covers the terms for using this website. It does not cover the terms of any coaching engagement itself, those are set out separately in the agreement and invoice you'd receive if you go ahead and book paid coaching with me. Nothing on this website forms a contract for coaching services. That only happens once we've agreed it directly and you've received a written agreement.

This isn't therapy or medical advice

The articles, the Midlife ARC™ quiz, the free companion guides, the weekly letter, and anything else on this site are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, or replace advice from a qualified doctor, therapist, or other medical professional. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your GP, NHS 111, the Samaritans on 116 123, or emergency services. If you're already receiving treatment or support from a medical or mental health professional, please continue that alongside anything you do here, and let them know you're also working with a coach.

No guaranteed outcomes

Coaching is a collaborative process, and what you get out of it depends on a lot of things outside anyone's control, your own circumstances, how much you engage with the work, and simple chance. Nothing on this site is a promise or guarantee of a particular result, whether that's how you'll feel, what you'll decide, or what changes in your life. Testimonials and quotes reflect individual experiences and aren't a guarantee that you'll have the same one.

The content is ours

The articles, the Midlife ARC framework and diagram, the free guides, the quiz, and the rest of the written content on this site belong to HME Online Limited or are used with permission. You're welcome to read them, download the free resources for your own personal use, and share a link to this site. Please don't copy, republish, sell, or present this content as your own without asking first. If you'd like to quote or reference something, a short quote with a link back here is always fine.

Our names and branding

“Her Midlife Empowerment”, “The Midlife ARC”, and “Ache, Roam, Come Home” are trademarks of HME Online Limited. Please don't use any of these names or phrases, or anything confusingly similar, to describe your own business, coaching practice, products, or services, or in a way that suggests any connection with or endorsement by us, without our written permission.

This site links out to a few places we don't control, Instagram, and occasionally other tools or resources. We're not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any site we link to, and linking to something doesn't mean we endorse everything on it.

Using this site

We've built this site carefully, but we can't promise it'll always be available, error-free, or perfectly up to date, and we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for anything that can't legally be limited or excluded, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
